Care Home Nature Sessions

Nature has an extraordinary ability to create conversation, curiosity and connection. Eco Suda’s
care home nature sessions are designed to bring the natural world closer to residents, including
those who may find it difficult to participate in conventional outdoor activities.
We bring carefully planned nature experiences directly into care homes, creating opportunities
for residents to explore wildlife, plants, landscapes and the environment in a comfortable and
familiar setting.
Our sessions can include wildlife photography, nature videos, bird watching, animal stories,
natural objects, environmental themes, sounds of nature and interactive discussions. Where
appropriate, we can also support short outdoor experiences within suitable gardens or outdoor
spaces.
Every session is designed to be engaging rather than simply a presentation. Residents are
encouraged to look, listen, ask questions, share memories and participate at their own level. A
photograph of a familiar bird may lead to a childhood memory; the sound of a woodland may
inspire a conversation about places someone once visited; an image of an elephant may open a
discussion about wildlife and conservation.

Our sessions are particularly suitable for residents with different levels of mobility and
participation. There is no expectation that everyone should participate in the same way. Some
residents may actively engage in discussion, while others may simply enjoy watching
photographs and listening to stories.
Eco Suda brings together wildlife knowledge, conservation experience and photography to
create sessions that are informative, visually engaging and personal.
We can tailor sessions to suit the interests of individual care homes, including seasonal themes,
British wildlife, birds, insects, forests, oceans, elephants, conservation and the natural world.
Our aim is simple: to make nature accessible, enjoyable and meaningful for everyone.
For care homes, Eco Suda offers more than an activity. We offer an opportunity to bring a little of
the outside world indoors and create moments of curiosity, conversation and connection.
