About Us

Eco Suda is a Cardiff-based nature wellbeing project, offering welcoming and inclusive sessions across South Wales.

We believe that time spent connecting with nature can support wellbeing, curiosity and a deeper appreciation of the world around us. Our sessions are designed for adults of all ages, care homes, community groups and anyone who enjoys the outdoors, including people with mobility challenges.

From guided nature walks and birdwatching to environmental education, wildlife photography and care-home nature sessions, Eco Suda creates meaningful opportunities to slow down, learn and enjoy nature in ways that feel accessible and personal.

Meet Sudath Abeysinghe

Eco Suda was founded by Sudath Abeysinghe, who leads and presents the sessions.

Sudath brings more than 20 years of experience in wildlife conservation, with a particular focus on Asian elephant conservation, biodiversity and environmental stewardship. He is 1 out of the 8 Sri Lankan members of the IUCN Asian Elephant Specialist Group and Project Manager at the Biodiversity and Elephant Conservation Trust (BECT).

Throughout his career, Sudath has worked on projects that promote coexistence between people and wildlife, protect habitats and support sustainable conservation. His experience includes conservation research, international collaboration, community-based projects, eco-tourism initiatives and environmental awareness programmes. He has also delivered nature and conservation awareness sessions to more than 3,000 schools across Sri Lanka.

At Eco Suda, Sudath shares this knowledge through friendly, engaging sessions that encourage people to notice, value and care for the natural world around them.
